Looking to get an Handmade Irish Tapestry made preferably, or bought off shelf ... anyone know where I should start looking?

Check with the Crafts Council of Ireland in Kilkenny who would give you a list of tapestry makers if there are any.

It would be easier to find a quilt maker. There are some astonishing quilts on view in the[broken link removed]n the RDS at the moment. It's free in today, but next week you have to visit the Horse Show to visit the exhibition. But it will be travelling the country after that.

The categories don't include tapestry as such, but do include

Embroidery
Felting
Knitting and crochet
Multimeida Textiles
Patchwork and Quilting
Weaving

You might find something readymade in the Kilkenny Design Centre on Nassau Street.

Visual Artists Ireland represents artists (as distinct from craft workers) and may be able to identify someone for you. Some artists work across many disciplines.
