For anyone who is planning to book any train journeys online be aware that the information is not always correct.
This morning I checked the Irish Rail website to verify the times for a train journey to Dublin to see that the first and second trains were full: (All Seats Taken icon [broken link removed] was displayed against each train).
We decided to go to the train station anyway to book a seat for the following day only to find that there as a huge number of seats available. My mother-in-law and daughter actually had a full carriage to themselves.
The thought of my mother-in-law staying with us for another day due to a website error at Irish Rail is too much to contemplate
