Irish Property Buyer magazine

I wouldn't bother buying that rubbish. I know someone that was interviewed for it as an apparent FTB, with a big spread on the struggle they had as FTB's etc... turns out they weren't even FTB's - they were on to their 3rd home!! Since then, i wouldn't read it!

themetunegal, I don't understand, were they having trouble buying their 3rd home or were they just talking about the trouble they had buying their first home? cheers for the info

I used to buy it but stopped. It was totally unrealistic for me. Everyone seemed to be on €48000+ salary range. For those that were not, they were either married or attached to a partner thereby bringing their salary range up. As for single people like me, there really is barely any hope of buying a property. Inorder not to put myself in a depressive mood, I stopped subscribing.

Ah it does have soem good articles in it but the properties listed in it are always may above average so thats a downside. Have a flick through before you buy it, that usually helps.

Hi Aidanf,

To clarify... the people they interviewed were friends of the editor who pretended to be FTB's (so the mag could run the story)... .they were actually not FTB's (they'd bought and sold many times).... I was highlighting the fact that I wouldn't believe all that i read in it :)
