Must take out two visiting Americans tonight. Food and Irish music is what they'd like. Any ideas. I've checked St John Gogarty, Johnny Fox's, Jolly Ploughman and Brazen Head but they seem to be touristy. Any ideas?

If they have time on their hands are travelling West the All Ireland Fleadh Ceol music festivial is on in Castlebar this wkend.

eh, they're tourists, they'll lap it up.

you could separate the two and catch a session in hughes pub beside where the old motor tax office was on chancery lane, less touristy. or pop into o'donoghues on merrion row after 9 (eat in the pearl brasserie beforehand).

If they are two visiting Americans and they want Irish Music and Irish Food, then they must be Tourists. What more do you want ?? The list you gave was fine. Johnny Foxs manages to keep all nationalities happy.

Excellent food, good beer and wine. Good prices. Band so so but they got the crowd clapping and singing. Will go there again and would recommend it.
