irish mortgage , australian property

Hi ,
I have a house in Sydney on which I am paying 9% interest on the mortgage.
I am now living and working in Ireland .
What are my chances of getting an Irish lender to take me on for a nice European interest rate!?
I have no property in Ireland to use as security .
Would an Irish lender require Irish security?

I imagine it would be hard to re-mortgage in Ireland. Your house in Sydney would be a bit hard to re-posses if you defaulted.

You should be able to get 7.5% with ANZ in australia
