Hi there,
I'm trying to find the simplest explanation about how an Irish company can operate in the UK. I am the director of a private limited Irish company and we would like to set up an operation in London very soon. We are in the property letting sector (specialised in accommodation for foreign students).
From my understanding I can register a UK company and be liable for tax there (which types of tax though??) or I can trade there as a branch of my Irish limited company (whereby I only pay UK corporation tax on the profits made in that branch right??).
I would appreciate anyone's help to clarify the easiest way to go about this.
