no activity at all, and there should be an AIB credit card, and an AIB perosnal loan both still active.
Someone in my office today said that AIB don't "register", but maybe he was talking about judgements, or mortgages on land registry folios
I would contact the ICB but they have purposefully adopted a steel wall or uncontactability, having no email address, and also only a recorded message phone number, should I write them a letter? ah the hastle
Once the ICB has done a search then you are liable for the €6 fee. It's not their fault that AIB have not registered the loan.
Down €6 on the search, 15c back on the cheque, sure isn't it all go.
but make that down 30c, because the ICB don't accept Cash/Credit Cards/Debit Cards, I used a cheque
You are correct in saying it is not ICBs fault, they are only a keeper of information that is supplied to them,
infact I don't need to contact them, it is AIB I should contact
It's been said on here before that MBNA are the only cc issuer that records monthly activity - the other cc issuers only record info. with the ICB when the account becomes a problem such as the holder defaulting . The one time I did access my ICB record ( out of nothing but curiosity ) it was farcically incomplete with several loans not showing up.

yes, the charge of €6 is to process and foreward to you a copy of whats recorded on the ICB in your name. The charge is applicable for the service its irrelevant if theres no or incomplete / incorrect info on it.
ICB are not responsible for ensuring your financial records are up to date, your bank is.
