Irish citizen marries a Mexican citizen - right to work in Ireland?

I'm trying to clarify something for a friend - If an Irish citizen marries a Mexican citizen do they have the right to work immediately in Ireland without a visa?

I had a good look around at different documentation but it appears vague... can anyone point me to an information source.

They would need to attend the local GNIB office with their marriage cert and passports to get a stamp 4 which is granted immediately. Once you have stamp 4 a PPS number can get gotten so they can work and pay tax.
