Anyone out there happy with Irish Broadband? or is NTL a far better option ?

I don't want an eircom phone line so am looking for IBB or NTL type solution - the reason i'd lean more towards IBB is that I have a dislike of NTL's TV cable offering and their customer service folks
... however am willing to eat humble pie and approach them for broadband if that's what is most recommended

My friends have been using Clearwire (wireless, no phone line required) for the past few months and are fairly satisfied. It does cost more than IBB I believe.

IBB are a disaster area avoid them like the plague.

Another wireless option is Metro from digiweb. www.digiweb.ie for details.
3mb down /512kb up for €35 a month is good value.

If you can get NTL I would go with them. Price is good and there are never many problems with the connection I'm told.

NTL , if you can get it, currently offer free installation by a technician and 3 months rental - from 25 a month. get it if you can.
