iPhone and Nissan bluetooth

Need advice on the following,

I can't connect an iPhone 3GS to Nissan bluetooth, the phone just keeps searching endlessly. Had no trouble connecting Nokias in the past.

Anyway, I can't figure it out, anyone experienced this before and know how to sort it out?

You cannot connect an iPhone to a Nissan nor a Hyundai Ix35 for some reason.

I was looking at buying one or the other recently and that put me off.
 
I can and do - no problem at all. Sorry that doesn't help you OP but just wanted to let you know it is possible.

Oh right because I visited the Hyundai dealer first and he was upfront about in so much that I didn't need to ask. He saw me taking a photo with my iPhone.

So I asked in the Nissan dealer and he said

"The old model Qasqhai did but the new facelift version will not accept the iPhone"

Maybe thats just the Qashqai but I assumed that all vehicles use the same bluetooth system.

Folder - that seems a strange one for the new model to be less compatable - car companies eh?!
