It randomly broke despite having a Spigen case which has been in use for a long time and offers great protection.

Will Apple replace it under consumer law or as a goodwill gesture?

If not, does anyone know how much it would cost at the Apple Store?

If you bought AppleCare Plus with the phone then it's covered for low price accidental damage repairs for two years from date of purchase. If you didn't it's full price.
