same thing happend to me couple of months ago, guy charges me €60 and had it fixed in bout 2 hours. google cracked iphone screen to get someone near your location.
If you're willing to post it in then i have used a company called ipod-Rescue in Galway they did both a 3Gs screen and an iphone 4 for me in sept and did a good job on them. Cheaper than the dublin quotes i got.
