Hello
I might have some contract work for a UK company but they've spoken about me possibly invoicing them in Sterling!

Not sure how this works from Ireland.
I have a UK social insurance number from years ago.

Can somebody please advise. Thanks

You can invoice your customers in any currency you and they agree

Obviously, there is an exchange rate risk depending on how the exchange rate moves between the invoice date and the payment date

There is also bank charges and currency conversion charges to take into account

Are you wondering if you are liable for UK tax and national insurance?

Will you be physically in the UK doing the work some or all of the time? Is it part of a trade you normally carry out in Ireland?

I'll be 95% of the time be working from Ireland, it's a remote job.
I can contract for them or they said they can offer me an an employment contract.

Not sure what way to go about this!

The option I highlighted.

If you're on an employment contract, responsibility for the awkward compliance questions falls on the company.
Thanks , yes depending on the contract I'll probably go with it. I have a UK social insurance number from working their previously. Guessing I'll pay my taxes that way instead of here
