I've been asked to setup an irish company so that I can take up a contract based in ireland.
The agency just said that it was company policy to only work with irish limited companies, or umbrella companies.
I already have a uk limited company, which is up and established for the past 3 years.
I have invoiced clients in ireland before, gotten the ok from the revenue that I do not need to register for VAT in ireland. I've also got a Tax Clearance Certificate.
What would the reason be for not entertaining my request to invoice from my uk company.
