Any investor will ask you, among many other questions:
Have you got a business plan?
Have you protected your idea?
Can you prove there is a market for your product?
Have you got any customers yet?
Have you put any money into your idea yourself?
I had a good idea for a business idea at the beginning of the year, but am finding it's not as simple as having and idea one day and "opening up shop" the next. It will be 2011 before I can launch.
If you can give a bit more detail without compromising your idea, you will likely get more useful suggestions.
