This investment looks to be a good choice for someone who has about 20K to invest and would like to ensure their capital is secure. I just wonder if there are any better choices out there at present.

What is the T & C's of this investment? How guaranteed is it and for waht period of time etc etc

Cash is king. I would of thought banks are offering extremely competitive deposit rates providing the consumer with a very good R.O.I/ yields which are hard to find with other types of investment in today's environment.
 
BOI have a new product out now - Secure advantage 2. term is 5 yrs 11mths, 100% guaranteed and there is an early encashment option on the 3rd anniversary with a 90% guarantee. They are running a deposit account in line with the investment offering 5.5% for 1/3 of what you invest in the Secure Advantage 2. I dont know of any other funds but that one seems ok.
