I came across this website this morning in some research on investment trust. It makes for interesting reading I think.


It lists 20 investment companies that have increased their dividends for 20+ consecutive years.

In the case of UK Equity Income, the dividend paid out in 2019 was 18.6p
The closing share price on 28/10/2019 was 419p so dividend yield is 18.6 / 419 x 100 = 4.44%

The managemant charges fees of 0.33% annually but these would normally be included in the Trust's P & L as an expense

I know we can't speak about individual companies on this site but the one listed on the very top has a yield of over 4% net of management fees.

That would appear to be a superior investment to most reits?

It's just you often hear REIT, s being touted due to the diversity they provide but at the end of the day, it's diversity within one asset class

Surely investment trusts with multi decade long stable dividends offer superior risk management?
 
That’s what I wondered too. I posted the list up in the hope that someone would figure out the catch.
