Investing with Interactive Brokers

Hi guys,

I am toying with the idea of opening an online account with Interactive Brokers. Reading through their list of requirements, am i right to say that i would have to wire a minimum of usd10k deposit before i can open an online account with them? any advice would be greated appreciated. thanks
 

Correct - see Account minimums. FWIW I have dealt with IB for around ten years and have had no problems with them.

I might be interested in opening an account with them too. Do you know if you can have a Euro account with them and only convert enough into USD for a particular trade?

Yes - my base currency with IB is the euro. You can convert some/all of your deposited euro to dollars through their online trading platform.
