Investing in Silver coins

Does anyone have experience of buying silver coins? Any advice and what site would you recommend?

I bought some in Germany a few years ago. Problem with most online retailers is the mark up is huge when you buy small amount under 200 coins. For smaller amounts I found buying junk silver, mainly US circulated coins that were minted using silver. Have bought some on ebay directly from the US.
