Investing in Portuguese Property

I am considering purchasing an “investment” property in Portugal and am soliciting counsel and advice. Having visited the Algarve region many times and always enjoyed the experience, I am drawn to a two bed property within “victory village” of the “Quinta De Lago” resort, but do not which to exclude the silver coast region. So I am also considering a two bed apartment in a new development in “Bom Sucesso” just north of Lisbon.

I would welcome and appreciate any counsel and advice on how best to invest in Portuguese property.

Just a quick note to ask have you looked into the associated charges for maintenance and numerous other fees that will be charged to you in Victory Village.
I myself have looked into a used apartment there and found the associated costs prohibitive in terms of investment purposes.
I suggest you get a breakdown of all fees that would be charged to you from the agent and/or Victory Village reception prior to proceeding in order for you to do your sums as accurately as possible.
