Investing in metals and commodities

I am a public sector employee and would like to invest in commodities and metals through a PRSA. I have an existing PRSA and the provider has such funds but they aren't available through a PRSA. I have researched some other providers and have found the same. Any advise on how I could invest in commodities and metals in a tax efficient manner, ideally through a PRSA, would be gratefully received.

If your public service salary is your only source of earned income, then any additional contributions must be done through an AVC PRSA, not a regular PRSA.

I don't think any of the mainstream PRSA providers offer those funds for AVC PRSAs. You could set up a self-administered AVC PRSA which would enable you to buy them as ETFs.

Have you investments outside your PRSA?

If so, you should look at all your investments as a total portfolio. And maybe invest in metals with your non-pension pot.
