Hello all,
I am considering investing in a business in the US. I would go into partnership with a friend. He would run the business from over there. I will be here working as PAYE worker.
I would be interested in any thoughts people have around this.
I am guessing that many Irish people must be organised in business in US.
The plan would be to invest $X and that in time a percentage of profits would be paid to me on an annual basis.
How straightforward would it be from a tax perspective?
Apart from the risk of the business failing which I can assess myself are there other problems with investing directly in a business in US?
