Invesment property becoming PPR, can i apply for a rate change ?

Im wondering if anyone has a similar experience.

I am contemplating moving into an invesment property next year and this will become my PPR, can i apply to swich from an invesment mortgage rate to a variable rate ?

If its your only house in the state its automatically your PPR

All depends on whether the present investment property you intend moving in to is on a higher than normal rate because of it's investment status, not all banks charged differing rates in the past. If it is on a higher rate than a home loan would be then there is no harm asking.
