Invalidity pension and taxation

I'm on an invalidity pension and also a private disability pension.
As I'm incapacitated should I have to pay income tax which I already do.
Reason I ask is that I met a person in similar circumstances who tells me that they don't have to pay tax. This I find hard to believe but as they are so sincere about the situation I thought I'd ask.
Any comments please.

My understanding is that you have to pay tax on all sources of income whether invalidity pension or private disability pension. The other person may not be getting the same amount of private pension as you are.

Maybe they are claiming Marginal relief?
