Hi all,

Looking for a bit of clarity please as I'm seeing conflicting answers in places.

I'm a paye taxpayer at the upper end of the 20% scale. My wife is in receipt of the invalidity pension from social welfare. She hasn't reached retirement age yet. I file a form 11 annually as we have one rental property to declare.

Do I put in the invalidity pension as spouses income on the form ??

Answers I have seen indicate both yes (include) and no ( don't include as she has no other source of income )

All replies appreciated

It's taxable income so yes, you return it as your spouse's income.

Be sure to claim her "Employee Tax Credit" either on the tax return or online.
