Intruder alarm standard verification

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with a nuisance burlgar alarm going off all the time across from where I live in the middle of the night.

Spoke to Dublin City Council about it and they said they can't do anything because the landlord is saying the place is being broken into each time. It goes off about four or five times a week and he won't anser his phone anymore when it goes off either.

I can go to the district court but at this point all I can do is ask the judge to tell him to fix it, which I don't think will be of any use.

I know there is a standard called EN50131 that I believe all intruder alram systems must conform to. I'm just wondering if anybody knows how I could find out if his alarm is compliant with this standard.

Any help would be much appreciated. It's driving me insane.

thanks.

There is no way to know, such information is not available to the public. Regardless, finding out whether the alarm specification and installation complies with that standard is of little use to you I'm afraid. Lack of compliance with the standard offers no recourse for you.
