I want to apply to my Bank (IIB/KBC) for interest only repayments (IOR) on my mortgage. I'm thinking of heading overseas for 1 year +.
The thing is I'm only a 1 year into my mortgage! What conditions do Banks have regarding (IOR) and what should I tell them? (I'm actually going to work in Australia for a year) would I be better off telling them I want to pay off a credit card debt etc over the 6 months? (I know but its only a LITTLE white lie). I have this dream to do this i.e go to Oz for the year and work but I don't want to open any 'can of worms' with the bank.
