Internet when cant get broadband

I live in an area where i cant get broadband & my mobile phone reception is fairly bad in most parts of the house. (i know, i live in the middle of no where!)
We will be installing a landline soon.

Is there any high speed internet options available to me?
How does the 3G data card work?

Any advice appreciated.
 
What location are you in ? With regards O2, they may have 3G coverage, they do cover some remote areas at this stage. Also, if the do not have 3g, they are rolling out Edge, and this will still give you faster speeds than dial up.

Have you checked with other wireless broadband operators in your area ?
