what you moving or where you moving to ? know a guy from carlow that specialises in ireland to france and spain will move most things if it fits on the lorry
 
looking to find someone that can move me to the States. Thought I would give it a go for a while . . .

I don't have a recommendation for you, hit the yellow pages and get someone to come to your house and give you an estimate of the volume of your goods and chattels. Armed with that it will be easier to get other quotes to compare.
Be aware that most companies do not offer or quote for a door to door service. Instead they will take your stuff and put it into storage until they have a full load going in the same direction, and then shift the lot. This means that it can be several weeks before your home contents arrive. If you need a door to door service you can expect to pay more.
 
I don't have a personal recommendation but hope to move country this year and a friend said I should try Beverley Smyth and gave them a glowing recommendation - no idea of price but the service seems to be good (I appreciate a friend-of-a-friend recommendation might not have been quite what you were looking for :) )
 
Are you paying this yourself? Or is it your company that is relocating you and they will foot the bill?

I used them when I was relocated overseas. The cost want a factor for me, but the service was great. They packed everything, you can track your shipment online, they took care of customs clearance etc.

If you are paying out of your own pocket, then shop around.. :)
