Is there such a thing as internal scaffolding that would be suitable for painting a landing, stairs and hallway? It would need to be light but secure?

You should be able to hire an aluminium scaffold tower from a tool hire shop. Very light, easy to erect/dismantle and on wheels. They're roughly 8' x 4'. Check out your responsibilities re health and safety if you're supplying this for someone else to use.

I recently bought some, they are a doddle to assemble and save time in the long run.

If you plan to hire it get it for at least a week, it will save you money.

Can I ask where you bought them? I am looking for one that is "tall" as I need to go up about 30'.

I bought mine in Valentine (wrong spelling) ladders for €800.

For one that goes up to 30' you'll need to spend almost €2000.

I would suggest you price a small Electric Scissor Lift that will fit through most doors. It has a width of only .76 of a metre and has a working height of 7.6 metres. Any local platform hire place should have one of about €100 a day.
