We got a carpenter to supply and fit some doors in our house and he is in the middle of the job but one door was damaged and it's obviously an mdf door with veneer. I'm wonderingly is this standard because we asked for red deal and are paying 150 to fit each. Am I getting what it am paying for??

Advice please ASAP. Thanks Elmo

Does the €150 fitting price include the cost of the door?

It's possibly an engineered pine door, i'd have it ahead of a red deal door if it is, no issues with warping or bowing. It would be more expensive for joiner to buy IF it's an engineered door. Is it prefinished?

Thanks guys. 150 includes firing as there are 8 in total he said he could and did have 3 hung in a day. Anyway. That way he said the price would be competitive. We proced doors ourselves at around 80e each at the local builders prividers.

Fitting - priced - providers ( spell check) phone typing

You can edit your posts to correct typos, just listing the corrections may just lead to further confusion.

If your fitter can only fit 3 doors a day...I doubt they do a lot of it! I've done that and I'm just a DIYer.
