slovenia has to adopt the euro by the first of january 2007. does or has it already brought down its interest rate. i was looking all over the internet to find out. does anyone what it was before it came into the EU and what it is now.

it has to be at least 2.75% now. which is the ECB rate at the moment. just a quick answer will do please

they have to have there interest rate inline with the ECB current rate right!!

Slovenia are wobbling a little, the over protectionism in their market (esp towards non-Italian or Austrian companies) is after stunting a few of their foreign exports which is combining with the big stink that continues to brew over the Bank of Ljubliana's refusing to return money to ex-Yugo savers/investors, from what has passed through the media is that a negotiated settlement will be made that is going to stabilise things within the next 3-4 months, but 2007, hmm, could be tricky!
