Hi,

I had an insurance claim in for damage to my property caused by a falling object which the insurance company acknowledge in their decision paper. However the insurance company then go on to say my claim is denied as we don’t know why the piece fell but we are told the item is not defective so no liability.

I asked for a copy of the report and the insurance company refuse to give it to me. Is this correct and what are my options?

Regards
Kev

What sort of object was it? Did someone throw the object intentionally?

I am surprised that they won't give you the report.

Just make a written request with a complaint and ask them to give you a final answers so that you can go to the Financial Ombudsman.
