Home Insurance on holiday home in France

Does anyone have a recommendation for a french holiday home insurance from an Irish or UK company?

I have been dealing with a french company but they are hard to deal with and their cancellation policy is mad (something like 3 months by registered post) and the premium just increases every year - no negotiation possible!

There are a number of companies that do this, most operate through brokers (I'm not sure if any of the direct companies provide this cover but I'm open to correction).
