Insurance for unoccupied house

Does anyone know of an insurance company that will provide general house insurance for an unoccupied house (which is up for sale)? I called a couple of insurance companies and they said they would only cover it for fire. Any information would be a great help. Thanks

whoever covers your own house or has other business from you may quote. It will be difficult to get cover for this type of property, with no supporting business.

Thanks for replies, I checked with broker and my own insurance company and both said they would only insure for fire. I guess that's my answer.

Can your house be treated as a holiday home and get insurance for this. I have built a house which is unoccupied and have it currently insured as a holiday home. When I occupy it I will change cover to permanent residence.
