Either as part of serious illness protection as standalone

There is or was Repayment Protector Insurance which covered your repayments for up to a year in the case of accident/illness/redundancy but hard to claim on, if these redundancies come to pass and there is any evidence that you had prior warning or there was any talks of redundancies or have been previous redundancies in the company then you can be fairly sure you won't get a payout.
