Insulation for a cavity block built house?

We have a house which was built circa 1950. The 4 external walls are all cavity blocks.
My question is this;
Is it possible to pump some kind of insulation into the cavity spaces (maybe open up holes in the attic) ??
I would like to insulate for 2 reasons:
1. Noise, I'd like the walls to be as noise proff as possible.
2. Heat, I'd like our house to be more heat efficient.

If anybody knows of any companies that do this type of thing I'd really appreciate some info.

Thanks
Colm

If you have cavity blocks, the only really viable option is to dry-line internally. Pumping insulation is not effective in these situations. There are a number of threads on this topic already, try the search facility.
