Installing Electric Shower

Hey guys, I want to install an electric shower in the main bathroom but it's already tiled around the bathwalls. Is this going to make the installation job messy? Is it even possible to do it??
 
You could surface mount the pipework but it wouldn't look very neat or professional and would be a headache to keep clean. Chasing out the wall (bye bye tiles) to bury the pipework is really the right way to do the job.
 
DeeDee - do you have a shower already, and want to replace it with an electric?

I had this done a couple of years ago - no problem, no damage to tiles.

Plumber was able to re-use the pipework from the existing shower, and mount the electric shower where the old tap had been.
