Firstly I have a log house so would be reluctant to install a wood burning stove.
I can buy a wood pellet stove at a good price. What is involved in installing one? I've heard you only need a small pipe from the rear, they don't leave much ash and there is hardly no smoke. Is this the case? Does it have to be a certain distance from windows?
It would be used to heat our sitting room. We only have oil fired central heating at the moment and our last fill was €770!!
Also what is the story about getting a SEI grant?
