installing a booster seat ?

Hi All,

( mods feel free to move if more appropriate elsewhere.)

I recently purchased a booster seat for our 4 year old son to use in my vw passat. I get the idea of how the booster seat enables him to use the standard seat belt. But what I don't get is the belt on the bottom /underside of the booster seat. Its only attached to one side and I cant see a purpose for it ? Am I missing something obvious ?

None of my 4 booster seats have this,so after a bit of searching,look at this video just after 3 minute mark.

And for anyone else who is curious,its to change the angle of the seat belt,so that it sits on the child's shoulder.

Yes correct, pain in the bum if you dont use it, iv cut it off in the past.
