Hi,
has anyone had any experience with "Inside track" ?
I recieved an invitation from them in the post to a 2hr workshop later this month.They say that they will educate you on how to build up a property portfolio & teach you to buy property at below market value. Is inside track a reputable outfit & above board ?
Any views appreciated...
 


There was a documentary on the founder of Inside Track last year on Channel 4 in the UK. Lie to let is the common phrase for the overvalueing of the properties they offer you under market value!! They have also been investigated by the office of fair trading on a number of occasions to my knowledge. I would suggest statying away from them. They do nothing that give you info you can find out yourself. There are guys on this forum which can give you better advice.
 
i think that i recall this programme. during an interview with the journalist a former employee voiced concerns that the company was targeting, in his words, 'unsophisticated' investors with their property deals.
 
inside track are a big outfit in the UK - do huge amounts of advertising in national papers and tv but saying that not seen much of them lately at all. i bought the dvd on ebay which was a copy of what you get at their seminars for £6 ! I think. if you have any clue about property then you are wasting your time. this stuff is for gullible people. they basically offer a two hour seminar thing and then try and sell you a very expensive 2-3 day course telling people a load of old blarney that you could have found yourself by surfing the net, reading a few books or picking the brains of others who are experienced in property investment. it would appear maybe they have done their stuff here and have moved on to ireland to see if there are any suckers in new territories.
 
i agree with Lorna,Attended 2 hour meeting last year, if you have any experience of investing you wil not learn anything new. they will and sell you a 2 day course for €1000+
 
Another interesting statistic is that only 3% of people who go to these types of seminars go on to buy property as an investment

where is this statistic from?

I wouldn't disagree these seminars are a great money spinner for these companies. I have quoted earlier on this thread, i rememebr the guy who set up inside track, cant rmemebr his name being on tv and they really do target simple people, with the greatest of respect the people they target have little or no concpt of investing money and the programme showed people who had been burnt by inside track having lost money on false claims.

They have been investigated by the Office of Fair Trading as i have seen in the press. I would suggest that another few years and they will cool down and vanish?
 
Got that Inside Track rubbish in the post again yesterday. Went straight into the recycling bag only because they didn't include a freepost envelope which I could have used to send them some junk.
 
I got an invite in the post as well. So too did my husband and two of my neighbours that I know of. Where are the getting our names and addresses from?
 
that is a good point. i think a listing in the telephone directory is a possability. im ex directory and dont seem to get any junk mail except for hand delivered.
