Ok here's the plan. I have this idea floating about in my head for some time now. I want to put a range cooker in my Chimney breast. The range is 100cm and the Chimney breast is 160cm.

I want to cut out a part of the chimney breast to insert my range cooker into. I just need to know do i have to support the chimney breast at the top as i want to keep a portion of it in the front. i think i should but not a 100% also would there be any draft issues??? If i did this?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

I will be taking out 110 cm and all the way into the wall And about 2 MTS in height.

Sounds like you need to talk to a qualified builder, adjusting the base of a chimney stack is a tricky business as it holds up a few tonne of bricks above. not for the diy-er.
