Are there any special requirements for the execs of a UK estate in distribution to Irish beneficiaries?
Previously dealt with bequests from UK and there was no issue - it was more of, sign this please & here's your letter / cheque. It was also a lot faster than here, but that's another story!
This bequest is a similar size to previous, but apparently Solicitor is looking for an "Irish Bond". I've never heard of this, wondered if anyone else had.
(Exec is older, not very clued in & has just had a bereavement, so not pestering them just now)
