Can anyone tell me a good USD or GBP based index tracker? Is it possible to make regular contributions to an index tracker?
Also would people recommend investing in the stock market if they can get 5% on deposit ?
 
What index do you want to track?

There are several ways of tracking a stock market index, e.g. buying into an ETF or buying into a fund that tracks your chosen index. If you do a search on Askaboutmoney for index-tracking funds or ETFs there's a lot of information already here.
