Index funds

Hello

I am following the Dave Ramsey baby steps, when it comes to investments (babystep 4) he advises (this is for an American audience but the principles carry) to invest 15% of gross income. This is as well as any work pension.

I’m finding it difficult to access the same variety of direct investment vehicles and am looking for something simple - not managed funds, not an additional pension but investing a monthly sum directly into an index fund.

My question is - is that possible in Ireland ? What is the fund ? (Say the equivalent of S&P 500 index fund or Vanguard index fund) with very low fees.
I’ve heard
Degiro is a good option for direct investments.
Any advice appreciated.

Please search the ETF investment sub forum, this topic has been discussed ad nauseam, including funds, platforms, Irish tax issues, UCIT v CGT, everything really.
