We recently bought a house in balbriggan under the affordable housing scheme on an estate that is to be a mix of social and affordable houses. I was told on purchase that there would be 'some' social houses on the estate but it has recently come to light that nearly 60% of the estate will be social housing!
I worry that when I come to sell I will not be able to sell it and that the council did not give me the full picture on purchase.
Anyone know if I can do anything? I like the house but 60% social housing is just too much. I feel I have been kept in the dark or perhaps stupid that i took their word and didnt investigate. Any chance they will take the house back???? Houses are not selling at the moment anyway so nobody in their right mind with money in their pockets would buy a house on an estate dominated by social tenants.
