incorrect VAT rate on East Link Toll Bridge

I drive a van... when going through the East Link Toll Bridge I get charged 2.55, which is broken down as 2.00 Ex VAT + 21.5% VAT and the total is 2.55?


Ex VAT = 2.00
VAT @ 21.5% = 0.55
Total = 2.55


It's been like this for quite a while as far as I know..

I haven't rang them as I don't really care.. I put it into my accounts as 2.10 Ex, + .45 VAT = 2.55 so that's ok... also there's no phone number so it's hard to ring them... if anyone knows an email address or phone number I'd give them a ring, not to complain, just to let them know about the problem.

Can I ask where you got your €2.00 figure from?

I suspect that the VAT exclusive rate is probably €2.10.

I think that that's more likely than that they can't do the maths.
 
Yep, bit surprising alright...

But the receipt gives all four values, Gross @ 2.55, Net @ 2.00.. Vat @ 21.5%.. Vat itself @ 55c.. and it's been like this for a few months as far as I can remember..
