hi all,

Im putting this up on behalf of my husband.

In Feb 2008 i got a tattoo started on me lower arm at a cost of 100 an hour, estimated time to finish was 6-10 hours.

I was getting it done on each vist at 2 hours a session, 8 hours down I thought that the tattoo was realy bad, and at this rate it would take 20 hours to finish.

I decided to take it up with artist on next visit,on arriving at store i discovered the artist had left(or sacked)and that it was tough.

I was left with a bad tattoo on me arm.

After much argument the shop decided they would get another artist in to fix the peice.

They also on jest added some on to me tattoo in the belief that the new art would make the bad peice stand out, it idnt!Im still left with a dark tattoo on me arm,the art itself is perfect, it needs to be re coloured

I went to the shop at christmas last year and a tattoo artist there told me that it would only take 3 hours to fix peice but the shop said they wouldnt fix it and that i should trace original artist to fix it, i approached the shop again and another artist also told me that he could fix it, again the shop said no,from the start the shop have said it is not there problem, that they got another artist to try fix it as they were been nice, and if i wanted any more work done to go and find the artist that worked in there store.

(folks now im not giving out about the art work ,its the whole colour that wasnt done proper, and dont forget three artist from there studio says it can be fixed with a few hours work...)

(shop will not be mentioned under any circumstances)

Re: Tattoo problem

Hmmm.. I'd say it'd be an interesting one for the courts.

The shop entered into a contract which they are now unwilling to complete.. leaving you with a half finished tattoo.

You could go to the Small Claims Cout seeking a refund... or youo coud seek even more money to cover the cost of removal of the tattoo... all of this costs money though, so it's a tough one.

Re: Tattoo problem

how i do i go about getting the shop to sort this??is it a case off small claims???

Re: Tattoo problem

Just tell them if they do not sort it out you will be taking a claim against them in the small claims court
