just wondering if I got a gift from my employer for clearly defined and transparent corporate reasons, nothing to do with my salary or my bonus nor to do with redundancy, would I be liable for income tax or CAT ??
 
Although you don't give very much information, I'd imagine income tax & PRSI.
 
There is a small gift allowance of €250 permitted by Revenue
 
So does anybody know - what is CAT ?? capital acquisitions tax i guess .. but how does one acquire? would this be gifts or inheritances ??
