Myself and my husband are in the middle of purchasing our first home. I am a PAYE worker and my husband is a self employed plumber. In relation to insurance we are wondering what type of cover to get in case he ever has an accident of falls ill and will be out of work for a number of week or even months and the mortgage still needs to be paid.
We have been looking at Mortgage Repayment protection but are we better off getting an income protection policy for him or some other type of insurance policy.
We are near completion of the sale and would really like some information so we can make this decision soon.
